The House

The property is a three-storey restored coach house on the edge of the old town. It sleeps six people.

Behind it a sun terrace with wooden table and chairs leads on to a small garden, bounded by the line of the old town wall. Beyond is the river valley with orchards and gardens.

A large attic fills the top storey. Lit by three skylights, it has a study area with large desk, and a single bed.

The middle floor has two double bedrooms, one with double bed and wash basin, one with twin beds. On the landing there is an open area that can be screened off to make a third sleeping area. There is a bathroom with bath and loo.

The groundfloor consists of a large open plan space with terracotta tiled floor, sofa, chairs, dining table, which opens onto the terrace where there’s a barbecue. At the other end is the kitchen area with modern electric oven/cooker, double sink and fridge. There is also a loo and separate shower.

The house is overflowing with books, and has a wood burning stove, Scrabble and other board games, a CD player and radio with long wave. There’s a washing machine but no dishwasher. We have wireless broadband, DVD/Blu Ray player and screen.
